A profile has been setup on the website 'www.clearwaylaw.com' misusing the identity of Cheryl-Lee Goes.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that the identity of a genuine solicitor (see below) is being misused on the online marketplace website 'www.clearwaylaw.com' with a bogus profile picture.
The profile states 'Cheryl-Lee Goes' is a 'lawyer qualified to practice law in Leicester, United Kingdom' and is employed at the Crown Prosecution Service Leicestershire.
Any business or transaction through 'Cheryl-Lee Goes' who appears on the online marketplace website 'www.clearwaylaw.com' is not undertaken by a genuine individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor by the name of Cheryl-Lee Goes (SRA number 315906).
The genuine Cheryl-Lee Goes has confirmed they have no connection to the website 'www.clearwaylaw.com'.
What should I do?
