Warning: Emails, a WhatsApp and TikTok account for 'Andreea-Nicoleta Florea' misusing the names of Alexander Satola and Turpin & Miller LLP

Emails have been sent and a WhatsApp and TikTok social media account has been set up which misuses the names of Alexander Satola and Turpin & Miller LLP in relation to an immigration matter.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that emails have been sent and a WhatsApp and TikTok account has been created misusing the name of a genuine firm (see genuine details below) and the name of an employee of the genuine firm (see below).
The individual is purporting to be an employee of Turpin & Miller LLP. We have been informed that the username associated with the TikTok account is 'alexandersatola05'. The TikTok account redirects users to an email address and a WhatsApp account. A member of the public has used that email address and WhatsApp number to communicate through to someone claiming to be called ‘Alexandru Imigration’ who provided bank details and requested payment for their services. A member of the public made a connected payment to someone using the name ‘Andreea-Nicoleta Florea’.
The emails were sent from the email address 'alexandru.ian.docs@gmail.com' and the phone number associated with the WhatsApp account is '+44 7398 464247'.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate an individual solicitor named ‘Andreea-Nicoleta Florea’.
Any business or transactions through the above social media account, WhatsApp account or email address are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors named Turpin & Miller LLP (SRA ID 548864). The genuine firm uses the email domain @turpinmiller.co.uk.
Alexander Satola is employed at Turpin & Miller LLP as a Paralegal and their genuine email address is asatola@turpinmiller.co.uk.
The genuine firm of solicitors Turpin & Miller LLP and Alexander Satola have confirmed that they do not have any connection to the social media accounts or email address referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
